Maple, walnut and Eastern red cedar.

Frame and panel construction in soft maple. Bookmatched walnut panels. Lid and floor panels made from Eastern red cedar. Hand-cut joinery (mortise and tenons, grooves). Finished with General Finishes Arm-R-Seal Satin and paste wax. Completed June 2018.

My third piece of furniture. I had just gotten my first bandsaw and was excited to do some resawing, which is how I bookmatched the walnut panels.
